{Well.. Hey there!...}

Welcome to our new family blog! Were to begin...oh ya WE MOVED!..To MICHIGAN!! And yes we KNOW it's "cold up there" Yup left good ol' Texas..don't think we are excited about leaving the Big State..we miss everyone alot and the food too..but we feel so blessed and excited to be able to have this opportunity and venture out as a family in a new place...

So we decided a BLOG would be a great idea to share our adventures from the North with our family and friends..Hope you enjoy the journey as much as we do! I'm sure there will be lots of spelling mistakes and some weird posts at time but hey that's who we are :)

Hopefully Many of you will be visiting soon and we can share many of these places with you!


We have officially been here for 3 weeks...wow...crazy to say that..time really flies...well let me catch you up on those 3 weeks..


{Week one}...Moving..Unpacking..Unpacking..Unpacking...Unpacking (really exciting week hu!?)


{Week two}..Unpacking..and we took a road trip to Traverse City..(pictures below) If you have never been "up North" this is a place I highly recommend..it is absolutely breathtaking! Lake Michigan looks like a magnificent ocean in the caribean..and the plus side its only 1/5hr away! the water is clear the sand is light and its just gorgeous (and no salt water yes!)! Vineyards..dunes..lakes..magnificent views..couldn't have asked for a more relaxing vacation after all the moving and unpacking!

{Week 3}..This week was awesome..it started out with more unpacking but then our very special friends/family {The Rodgers} came to see us..!! They were kind enough to make the 6 hr drive to see us! Gabriel is our Godson so we were specially excited to have our boys spend time with him since they have been living in New York {for Nathans residency} we hardly got to see them! They spent 4 wonderful days with us and we ventured throughout Midland {the great city we live in}..Took the kiddoes to the splash park and other parks and Mel and I decided we needed to gain some weight so we cooked up a storm everyday too! {:*)} They Left today and I am so bummed but I know we'll see them soon and I will treasure our days together forever :)!

After they left we drove the 2 hr drive to Detroit {yes don't freak out just to the airport} to pick up Anne....who they boys Adore she is their "aunt" and will be staying with us for the week she always spoils us with home cooked meals..I am sure excited! On the way we saw Carabbas.{see above were I said we really missed the food}..Andy and I were trilled so of course we stopped for lunch..It was the best restaurant food we have had since being here...

As Promised here is Traverse City.....

We stayed for 4 days and went to the Bear dunes..the lighthouses..downtown..secluded beaches ..hung out at the hotel beach and rented a boat..it truly was a blast..the boys did awesome ! :)

The Bear Dunes were a blast but boy we {I} were tired as we got to the top..Adan was the fastest of us all! Andrew kept taking breaks of course I Had to take some with him too! I loved this photo of them running down the dunes :)!

We drove through these secluded beaches and the boys thought it was "so cool" no one else was there but us!

Saturday we rented a boat at the hotel the boys loved to drive it and stop and stick their feet in the water or as andrew {"toes in the water"}

We hit some cute spots down town and decided to take a family photo..this is what we came up with :)!
